Stagecoach has announced two key appointments to its West Scotland bus company.

Sam Greer has been appointed Managing Director of Stagecoach West Scotland. He has been Engineering Director at the regional company since 1997, having worked for Stagecoach since 1992, and has 22 years’ experience in the bus industry.

John Harper succeeds Sam Greer as Engineering Director for Stagecoach West Scotland. With 25 years’ industry experience, John has been employed by Stagecoach since 1991.

The appointments follow the announcement last month of two promotions in Stagecoach’s UK Bus operations.

Tom Wileman was promoted from Managing Director Scotland to Regional Director North West, with specific responsibility for Cumbria, Lancashire and Merseyside operations.

Robert Andrew, formerly Deputy Managing Director Scotland, was promoted to Managing Director Scotland, with overall responsibility for the Bluebird, Strathtay, Fife and Western companies.

Commenting on the most recent appointments, Robert Andrew said: “I would like to wish Sam and John every success as they take up their new appointments. I would also like to recognise the significant contribution made by Tom Wileman to the Stagecoach West Scotland business.”
